Dr. Sydney McCauley is a Board Certified Companion Animal Nutritionist and serves as the Manager of Companion Animal Nutrition. Prior to her time at BSM Partners, Dr. McCauley earned her PhD at Virginia Tech in Animal and Poultry Sciences with an emphasis in nutritional physiology in pigs.

During her time as a graduate student, Dr. McCauley was awarded a scholarship to focus on understanding glucose and fatty acid metabolism in low birth weight neonatal pigs. Additional focus was on how low birth weight neonatal development affects carbohydrate, fatty acid, and amino acid metabolism in skeletal muscles and overall metabolic homeostasis.
